Anthony had a physical therapy evaluation and he sat up in his wheel chair today! A big step toward getting him home. We had to make some adjustments to his chair since he is now taller! So nice to see him sitting up so straight:-)
Anthony’s tube feedings are on hold because he still has some abdominal distention. They did a KUB (abdominal x-ray) and he just has a lot of air, so they should restart his feedings tonight. He has to be back on his g-tube feedings and off the IV before he can come home.
He has finished is IV antibiotics and morphine. He is just getting Tylenol with an occasional Tylenol with codeine for pain. We are guessing he should be home by Tuesday.
WOW!!! he looks great! So glad to hear everything is going well. We all hope to come and see him soon! Give him a big kiss from all his girls!! Take care~Cheryl
I double that “WOW”!! Anthony looks fabulous. How did he tolerate sitting in his chair? He doesn’t look too unhappy in the picture. I have lots of questions for you … I’ll email you later.
Thanks Cheryl, thanks Ann.
He tolerated sitting up pretty well, but he is definitely happier in bed!
Wow, this is a new look for Anthony. Great to see him up. Amazing. Gives all of us with little health problems hope.
Yay! He’s “taller”! I imagine this really feels strange to Anthony to be sitting straight for the 1st time. Awesome. I’m sure the bed does feel better right now. This is a huge step for him.
Glad he’s still smiling. 😉
